Booth Western Art Museum

Cartersville, Georgia

The Master Plan for the Booth Western Art Museum was undertaken to facilitate a new museum devoted to a collection of art of Western-American content. The proposed site for the new museum is situated in historic downtown Cartersville. Located within close proximity to Atlanta, Cartersville is situated on a highly-traveled route through Northwest Georgia, passing through towns rich with American history and culture. The new 66,000 square foot museum incorporates a 250-person, state of the art auditorium, an educational center, research library, and dining facilities. The museum serves the surrounding community and will provide an understanding of the history of the West to the local community, visiting students, and tourists.

KAPC was responsible for a feasibility study, programmatic detailing, architectural design, and engineering coordination. The project was completed in 2001.
