Sapir Museum

Sapir Museum

The Sapir Museum was a concept created by KAPC for the Sapir Organization which never saw completion.

This project took advantage of this historic structure's organization, ideal for housing the galleries of the permanent collection. The large programmatic elements such as conservation, receiving, and storage, are located in a satellite building. Our Master Plan investigated various components of the 21,500 sq ft building in an effort to establish guidelines for both programmatic and physical performance.

The spatial and organizational relationships of each department are defined graphically to depict idealized blocks of space. These representations and their accompanying narrative will help to direct the general organization of each department and identify important relationships, adjacency, or performance criteria that should be noted
