Working together with Chermayeff & Geismar,
our firm assisted in the develop-ment of computer
model studies for this new museum in
New Orleans. It is the home city of the factories that produced the landing craft
used to transport allied troops to the beaches of Normandy during
the invasion of Europe in World War II.
Computerized models of all exhibit areas were made to better communicate
concepts for the conversion of an existing 20,000 s.f. factory building.
These virtual images also helped the museum to build local support,
create a national membership, and raise funds for the first phase
of construction. It was completed in 2000 as KKA PC. |
